Security
The Mills Building boasts the latest in high tech access controls. The Access Control Room ("ACR") has multiple color monitors with numerous interior and exterior cameras. The interior cameras record all traffic entering and exiting the building. The exterior cameras record activity on all sides of the building. An officer monitors the cameras on a 24/7 hour basis. The Mills Building also records after hour activity through the use of a card access system also monitored 24/7 in the ACR.
The building has a staff of 20 trained officers all of whom are CPR and First-Aid certified and have training in fire, earthquake, and emergency situations. The officers are located at each Lobby entrance and are a good source of site information. The lobby officers call elevators and oversee the public as they enter and exit the building. Additionally, the staff has a low turnover rate and most are veteran officers who have worked in the building for many years.
